[Tarnowo Podgórne, 12.12.2023] ChargeEuropa is proud to announce a new initiative in partnership with the town of Tarnowo Podgórne, deploying an electric vehicle (EV) charger. This joint effort aims to promote electromobility while being mindful of the taxpayer’s wallet.
The charger, strategically placed for easy access, is a step towards making electric mobility accessible to all residents of Tarnowo Podgórne. This initiative is a testament to ChargeEuropa’s commitment to fostering sustainable transportation solutions that benefit local communities.
Mayor Tadeusz Czajka expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating, “We are thrilled to partner with ChargeEuropa to bring EV charging to our residents. This initiative promotes electromobility without any cost to the taxpayer. It’s a win-win situation, offering both convenience to our residents and supporting a greener future.“
The charger is part of ChargeEuropa’s broader mission to make EV charging widely available. While 80% of charging happens at home, around 32% of Poles do not have access to private parking where they have the luxury of installing their own EV charger. Rolling out EV chargers on public parking is the only way to support a full transition to electric vehicles.
ChargeEuropa CEO, Matt Tymowski, said, “More electric cars mean we need more places to charge them. With an increase in EV sales every year, Poland will need close to 100,000 charging points by 2030. Our partnership with Tarnowo Podgórne demonstrates how we can achieve this.”
This EV charging initiative is a significant milestone for Tarnowo Podgórne, demonstrating the town’s dedication to promoting clean energy transportation while prioritizing the well-being of its residents.
